Running for a Cause
MS is a neurological disease where the body’s immune system attacks the nervous system and can become debilitating. This event has been organized as a fundraiser to fund for cutting edge research in order to drive change through advocacy, facilitate professional education, and provide programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward.
We are people who want to do something about MS now and are dedicated to achieving a world free of MS. On July 5th 2012 my husband Brian Anders was diagnosed with MS. Being an avid runner I wanted to find a race to run to raise money for the MS society. I wasn’t successful in finding a race. I felt I needed to do something. This is why I decided to organize an 5k run/1-mile walk.
