Saturday May 31st
We cordially invite you to participate in the 2nd Annual 5K Run/ 1-Mile walk for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). We had such a great turnout last year and want to continue our effort in raising money for research to fight this disease that effects so many families. Last year we were successful in raising $7,000 for our cause; this year our goal is to double that!! MS is a neurological disease where the body’s immune system attacks the nervous system and can become debilitating. This event has been organized as a fundraiser for funding cutting edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, collaborating with MS organizations around the world, and providing programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward. We are people who want to do something about MS NOW, and are dedicated to achieving a world free of MS. MS stops people from moving. On July 5th 2012 my husband Brian Anders was diagnosed with MS. Being an avid runner I wanted to find a race to run to raise money for the MS society. I wasn’t successful in finding a race. I felt I needed to do something. This is why I decided to organize a 5k run/1-mile walk on May 31st. The run/walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. at Fallbrook Town Center. Awards will be given for top qualifiers of the 5K. Participants fees: $20 entry fee/person includes packet with bib, T-shirt, and sponser handouts.Water and snacks following race Packet pick-up information TBA May 1st. You may register right here on the website using paypal and then please Like us on Facebook to spread the word! We thank you in advance for helping with this cause that is so important to us and so many others.
